Did you guys ever heard about Korean beauty show name Get it Beauty? If you guys didn’t ever heard about it let me explain a little bit. Get it Beauty is a Korean TV show in beauty. The main MC of this program is Kim Yoo Jin she is a former member of S.E.S. In this program you will get lot of information about beauty and of course about makeup too. And the main corner in this show is the Blind Test which they will tell their honest opinion about products that they tested. And of course there is online polling and opinion from makeup artist too. The other reason that I love to watch this show because there is makeup tutorial from the famous makeup artist that will teach you how to do makeup

This time from their Blind test they try to pick for waterproof mascara. When it comes to summer we need a powerful waterproof mascara because we don’t want our eyes look like a panda. Because in Korea is summer so they did test. First they will choose the best 5 five from the online polling test and the makeup artists after that they will test each of the mascara. This time in order to prove how waterproof the mascara they took the girls into the swimming pool wow~~ isn’t that great with this we will know which one the best waterproof mascara. Then after that they will choose the best waterproof mascara and here are the results

1.     Kiss Me Heroine Long and Curl Mascara

2.     Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara

4.     Maybelline Volume Express the Magnum Mascara waterproof

5.     Etude House Lash Perm Waterproof Mascara

Get it beauty is one of the popular TV show which began airing in July 2010. The main aim is to promote popular Korean cosmetics products along with interesting cosmetics tips hosted by three hosts most of the time and professional make-up artists are introduced in every episode who does nothing but fills you up with interesting ideas and easy make-up skills. As you can see on the photo on the left, one of the most popular host is Eugene who was a member of popular female band S.E.S.

I was unaware of the show until I was invited to participate in the TV show with a bunch of other foreigner female students from several other universities. Every Get it beauty episodes provide you with new beauty tips. Here is a little information about Korea's cosmetic company. Comparing to other countries in Asia, Korea is a major producer of cosmetics products and obviously a huge market for cosmetics. The local Korean cosmetics brands are Holika Holika, The Saem, Tony Moly, Banila co., It's Skin, Laneige, Aritaum, Etude House, Innisfree, Nature Republic, Skin Food, The Faceshop and Hanskin House. Some of these brands are mid-priced and some luxurious brand are found in high-end department stores.

What I learnt from the sitting there for long exciting hours? First question was, "What do girl's from foreign countries want to learn about Korean make-up?". Most of the girls who went there were interested in learning how to get natural look with the make up on which we mostly see in most Korean soap operas and dramas. To answer this question, one of the professional artist was invited who worked with most Korean K-pop celebrities like Girls Generation. Obviously, getting a natural look was not a single-step process especially for an audience like me who doesn't know the ABC about cosmetics.

Later in the show we had a "blind test" on five different BB creams followed by complete makeover of one random girl from the audience. For the second part of the show, they brought in a hairstylist, fashionable and young, who selected two random girls from the audience. While the makeover was going on in the backstage, they announced the result of BB cream blind test and what brand they were. The results were quite surprising since the most expensive BB creams got the lowest or close to lowest scores and the cheapest was rated best. At that moment, I realized how BB cream is different to Korean girls and to foreign girls. We could clearly see the difference between how people from different culture and nature prefer different thing.

Now, what the hairstylist did was taught the audience how easy it is to have a natural hair style everyday without any help from a hairstylist. The girls were seated on the chair and he worked on their hair very smoothly and created "poop" hair  which is very popular in Korea and popular to many foreigner audience through Korean waves.  The name "poop" hair basically means a hairstyle that looks like a lazy bun which might look like "poop" in cartoons. The girl with long straight hair was given simple and big waves at the lower parts of her hair which turned out natural and made her look completely different. Towards the end of the show, the girl whom they sneaked out without audiences' notice was revealed which surprised everyone on the set. She was totally transformed with new cute bob hair cut, perfect make up and  most of all, she was glowing. Well, I guess that is the magic of make-up.

Finally, we were presented with MISSHA products such as BB cream, essence and Mascara that vibrates when you press a button. The best one that I am still using is a facial essence called "TIME REVOLUTION". It was a wonderful time for two reasons: first, I got to meet a celebrity Eugene, talked to her and had a photo taken with her, and the second, I got more friends in Korea after the show.

Get it Beauty

Country: Korea
Status: Ongoing
Released: 2014
Genre: audition ; variety

It should come as no surprise that Korea, especially Seoul, is a very fashionable location. With any drama or variety show that a fan watches, there are usually trends or fashion items that he or she wants to emulate. From expensive brand-name clothing, to cutting-edge hairstyles, to enviable nail art, Korean celebrities have perfected the art of looking good 24/7

.

Not only that, but one of the main sources of Korean celebrity income is not the drama or variety show appearances they do, but the commercials and sponsorships they receive with top brands. Why? Because fans love to buy the products that they see their favorite celebrities wearing! For example, did you know that the lipstick Jeon Ji-hyeon (as Cheon Song Yi) wore in "My Love from the Star" was so sought-after that it disappeared off of shelves throughout Asia when the drama was airing? Not only that but dozens of beauty tutorials and blog posts appeared to help consumers find similar colors, once the original Yves Saint Laurent version became impossible to find.

"Get It Beauty" has capitalized on this fervor for Korean style. Hosted by top actress Yoo In-na and Rainbow member Jae Kyung, "Get It Beauty" is a variety/talk program dedicated to all things Korean style - from hair, to makeup and nail color, to clothing, to dating. Each week special guests appear on the show - from top beauty stylists to Korean celebrities like IU and Super Junior's Kim Hee-cheol.

Each week has a different theme - from internet-famous beauty blog posts to the most sought-after drama looks - and the hosts break down all of the key points so they are easy for viewers at home to replicate and incorporate into their current style. The beginning of each episode outlines the theme of the week, so you can pick and choose which topics you are most interested in.

So for fans of Korean style, it's time to stop wishing you could borrow the style of your favorite actress and instead lean how to recreate it and make it your own!

Popular Korean beauty variety show hosted by Eugene, a famous singer who is known for being a beauty and skincare guru. "Get It Beauty" features several beauty experts who showcase best products, make-up and hair tutorials, beauty tips and product recommendations. There is also a famous "Blind Test" segment where audience is invited to blind test 5 products (a mix of expensive and inexpensive products) after which the results are revealed live on the show.

Best thing about "Get It Beauty" is it identifies good, cheap beauty products that are actually tested on real people! (They have a panel usually made of university students)

In every episode, a beauty expert is invited and have a make up show on the spot.
It will tell you good tips and give a correction for the mistakes that many people often make
